Tarot cards

I visited the blog of Vegas Vixen recently and she had a link to a place where you fill out a few questions and it will tell you what your Tarot card is. I don't think I put much faith in these things but in some ways it sort of sounds a bit like me. Here is my results and the link to the site if you would like to participate. There are about 12 questions that you answer and it is fairly simple:

You are The Hierophant

Divine Wisdom. Manifestation. Explanation. Teaching.

All things relating to education, patience, help from superiors. The Hierophant is often considered to be a Guardian Angel.

The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. Where the High Priestess between her two pillars deals with realms beyond this Earth, the Hierophant (or High Priest) deals with worldly problems. He is well suited to do this because he strives to create harmony and peace in the midst of a crisis. The Hierophant's only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing, at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

I guess I am almost ready for Christmas. It will be a much happier one for me this year than the one last year was, although I won't have heading south for warm weather to look forward to after the first of the year. But I do have a fantastic lady to spend time with that I didn't have last year so it is a very good trade off. I bought a book on Amazon.com that I liked so well I decided to order one for my brother but it didn't get shipped until today. They spent the bucks to send it via overnight UPS so it will be here tomorrow, at no extra charge to me, but I have to wrap it and re-ship it to Spokane, so he won't get it until after Christmas. The other package that had to be shipped has already gone out and should be delivered tomorrow and all my other gifts will be hand delivered. I had some help from Pat with my shopping this year but it was still hard for me to figure out what gifts to get, especially for the grandkids. I thought about gift certificates but when I did go shopping I found things that I hope they will like so I didn't chicken out and just get gift certificates.

Tonight is the Elvis show, with Danny Vernon as Elvis. Both of my sons will be going with us and I definately plan to take some photos. I have the lens I had ordered and wanted for the last show but it didn't get here in time. It will be fun to use and should do a good job, especially in the lower light levels of stage photography without flash. This will be in the Cabaret room which is a smaller, more intimate showroom than where he performed last time when I did those other photos. I'll try to get them ready to post before Christmas.

Comments:
I don't do Tarot, either, Dick.

Sounds like you're on track for a good Christmas this year. I'm so glad, you deserve it. :-)

Good luck getting some good pics at the Elvis show tonight. It'll be interesting to see how your new lens works out.

I treasure our friendship, Dick, and I want to wish you and Pat and your families a blessed and happy Christmas and New Year's.

Love,

Diane

(For some reason it won't let me publish this comment under my name, so I have to be Anonymous this time. With Blogger, who knows??)

Well I do Tarot, and I tried this little quiz. I am The Lovers, it seems. LOL

Have a great time at the show tonight Dick, looking forward to seeing your pictures. If we don't speak before, I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!

Awww...Dick, it sounds like you're so happy. I'm getting some good vibes and this makes ME happy! You have so much going on for you...keep going my friend, you're doing well. Have a Merry Christmas and I hope next year brings you even more joy and happiness! (((((HUGS)))))

Seems like I had done this before but at any rate I was "The Sun". Don't think that is what I was the first time.

Have fun at the Elvis show!

Thank you very much.....
